Rose red, Peach pink, Golden sun, Earth Brown

Rose red
Peach pink
Shining like the sun
Wolf pelt
Starshine
High and sweet
Low and husky
Dimple chin
Smile big
Laugh like joy has come for good
Joy is wonderful
Golden sun
Earth brown
Wit as wry as rye
Laugh at everything with joy
Smile big
Like laughing joy
Is only half the story
Brush strokes on paper
Make black marks
Of friends and joy
Write a story
Half the story
Laugh the other half
Joy is sweet
Joy is kind
Joy is friends old and new
And you
Golden sun
Earth brown
Rye and wry
Are joy and kind
Together is my fondest wish
Life is kind
But you are better
Make laugh today

The Big Picture

I admit that wars,
Are sometimes a necessity,
But can't we try,
To save more lives?

There are so many people,
In this world of ours,
Who just can’t see the big picture.
So many lives lost,
In so many wars,
Because leaders couldn't see the big picture,
They fought for petty causes,
That ended up with their untimely ends,
But many lives could have been saved,
If they could have seen the big picture.

Wars are a terrible thing,
Life would be better without them.

Ireland

I'm going to Ireland.
I think I'm gonna love it.
This is for you,
Ireland

I’m leaving for Ireland,
Three weeks of castles,
Sheep, cold weather,
Beautiful irish country,
I’m irish, just a little,
A teeny tiny bit,
But,
I think I’ll love it there.

I might not be able to post my poems,
Of irish beauty,
But
I'll keep them in my heart,
For you to hear when I return.

Knock-knocky Headbox

I'm a little crazy,
Just the way I like me,
This poem,
Is fun all around.

I’ma little knock-knocky in the headbox.
That means I’m not right in the head.
But I like me that way.
So thats how I’ll stay
Knock-knocky forever.
Laugh the day away.

Knock-knockity headboxity,
Knock-knocky headbox,
Ha ha!

The Flower Communion

At my church,
We are having a flower communion.

I wrote a poem,
To celebrate.

At my church,
We are having a flower communion.
I was asked to write a poem for it.
So here it is.

Flowers, trees, honey bees,
Spring has sprung.
So let us celebrate,
With the flower communion.

The first flower communion,
Was held in a church,
Without decoration.
So they brought flowers,
And filled the chapel with their scent.

This time, so many years later,
We bring flowers again,
But this time,
We bring rocks, too.

Because,
We’re all a little rough on the inside.

Flowers, beautiful.
Rocks, rough.

But, some flowers are not thought beautiful,
And a diamond is a rock,
And a diamond, is beautiful.

The outside,
Is not the inside.

The highest compliment,
Is to give joy and love and peace,
I did.

So Sorry

So sorry everyone,
I'm having poet's block,
So I can't write for a while,
See you when I can!
We have friends visiting too,
So I don't have time to write,
Be back to writing when I can.
See you then!

Great Grandmothers

My grandmothers,
Are such wonder people,
I wanted to write a poem for them.
So I did.
Here it is.

My grandmothers,
Two wonderful women.
Helping so many,
To live better lives.
Volunteering,
In so many places,
One,
Travels all around,
The other,
Volunteers,
All over,
But.
I love them both the same.

I love you,
Grandmothers.
